All jobs that involve work to be carried out within the carriage way (such as new pedestals) will require a Traffic Management Plan to be submitted and approved by the council before any work can start. The traffic management plan can take up to 20 working days to be approved, so plan your job schedules with this in mind.
Temporary traffic management can only be carried out by warranted site traffic management supervisors (STMS) and traffic controllers trained by NZTA accredited trainers. PRSL staff are trained as traffic controllers, and we also have a STMS.
For jobs that require a Shutdown such as installing new or upgraded transformers the lead time for scheduling this with Powerco is 14 days and is dependent on Powerco’s approval.
